From the 18th-25th May 2006, I was at the Rockefeller Brothers’ International Conference Center in Bellagio, Italy, for the conference "Truth and Memory: Resolving the Legacies of Mass Violence," organized Professors Rebecca Bryant and Elizabeth Drexler and funded by the Rockefeller & Fulbright foundations.
Apart of the work and pleasure of conferencing, the Villa of Serbelloni family, where the center is, and its location at the edge of Lake Como an hour north of Milan, just south of Alps, is one of incredible, and one might say in scholarly circles at least, of legendary beauty.
This was my first visit; here are some memories.
