Amu, Rathu, Kochchi: Chilies are for burning
I've been photographing dried red chilies as I cook for some time; but just yesterday there was a bag of kochchi, and half ripended green chilli in the house.
I wasn't cooking, but I just went snip snip with the knife, and frame on top, is one result.

Three Cloves of Garlic
what more is there to say :)
well, i've been working on garlic still life, if that's some thing you can work on, ha ha, for more than an year now, i think. and this one, which was a studied effort, marks some kind of end.

Lamb, red and raw.
okay close your eyes if you are vegetarian, or vegan or whatever; i'm still a red meat person.
this is for a spicy lamb stew, with a wasabi inflected, mango-arrack reduction. i just made it, and ate it, and it was super.
the other critter who lives here, said it was good too :)
i think i got it down now (have been working on this dish for awhile).
the recipe, and photographs of the finished dish will be up soon – I hope.

Garlic Round
from the food series, soon, hopefully to be a staple on my blog. a crop is part of collage, in lentil yellow (see below)-- but this one is re-done with different white balance, and colour tone, and totally re-cropped, of course. seem quite cool. or hot.

Lentil Orange
This kind of lentil or dhal, is something I like to eat once in a while. Cooked in coconut-milk with turmeric and salt, and then sautéed, with garlic, shallots and pieces of dried red chills, would be my way. :)
